ImageA man about ministry, "PK", The Preachers Kid is about getting souls saved.  Born in Orange County California but raised in a variety of places like Hope, Arkansas and Muskegon MI, it seems to have given him the talent of reaching people of many differing backgrounds and personalities.

A lyrist to his heart, he's written many of the songs on his debut CD, " I'm Coming Home" where he solos with his father and Pastor of St Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Texarkana TX on his debut single "A Better Man". A man of God whose life has been engulfed with the music industry from R & B to gospel, PK is truly a man who appreciates great music. He once sung R&B like many artists, even working with the likes of the Gap Band, Regina Bell, Silk and MC Lyte but when God calls you to do something, you must do it. He says, "When God gives you something, he gives it to you for a reason...and with it comes a great responsibility. Many artists continue to sing to the choir but I want to reach the unsaved. No one is perfect.  You never hear the details about how people make it through obstacles.  People need to know how to come out. I'm not perfect and they aren't either.  But if they can see I can change then certainly they can change.   Women, alcohol, the flesh-these are struggles that I had to deal with before I could go forward. But God worked things out for me. " He considers it his responsibility and an honor to minister music to all people.

With his sure and unquestioning faith in God, PK moved from a mega-church to what most may consider a storefront. He says that God had been speaking to him about leaving the church he attended where he was praise and worship leader and he followed Gods command. It was difficult as most would imagine but he has been truly blessed working with his new congregation. His initial choir of 15 has grown to more than 60 and you can't keep them from rehearsal. It's his love of the music that drives him. "I gotta do it-I wouldn't feel right if I'm not doing what God called me to do." His whole nomadic movement through changes in his life is what motivated the music you'll hear in, "A Better Man". Image

Throughout his struggles with the everyday challenges of life, PK has learned to function in a spirit of excellence. His music is of the same spirit of excellence. With its up beat sound and melodic harmonies, PK and his father certainly persuade you that God has made both of them better men. His unique voice is that of a raspy Tonex combined with Lee Williams.  It's truly amazing to listen to. This project is as velvety smooth and comforting as the holy spirit: An excellent way to begin a triumphant solo music career.

PK currently resides in Dallas Texas with his wife Calandra of 3 years and their 2 children Jayln and Courtney.
